It's that time of year again for the ghosts and goblins to come out of hiding and stalk the houses of everybodys street in hopes of filling their goodie bags with candy and treats.
My grandkids have decided to go as a angel, a Moxie girl, a witch and a wizard!
I'm still trying to figure out what a Moxie girl is. I thought it might be nice if they would all go together as a common group, but they are all individuals with their own ideas on what they want to be.
I can remember when my daughter was young and all the fun we had picking out costumes and looking for all the accessories to go along with it. i really enjoyed sitting on the front porch handing out treats to all the kids that would come by. Living in town has a few advantages and Halloween time is one of them.
Parents would park at the start of the block and hit every house on the street, then circle around and continue around the block. Everyone would have their lights on to show the kids to come to their house and Trick or Treat.
I miss those days. I live in the country now and love it but I still remember how much fun it was on Halloween.
Happy Halloween to Everyone!!!
I love Halloween. I am taking my three year old shopping for his costume this weekend. I also get go and pick out costume for my sister dog. Last year for Christmas I picked him out a reindeer in training outfit. He was so cutie. When my son school is having there Halloween party the dress up all day and It is my day to be there. So I get to dress up also. My big complain about trick or treating this year is that it is the same night a pinkenville pride. That is where my mom’s family is from and we go to the pride every year, I do not know what to do. The pride or trick or treating.
ReplyDeleteYa I know what you mean Halloween was so fun as a kid. I use to love dressing up and making my costumes from scratch. Now this year my boyfriend and I have been invited to 3 different dress up Halloween parties and neither of us want to dress up. I guess the older you get the dress up part isn't as fun anymore. The past years we have just stayed home and watched scary movies while handing candy out. I hope thats what we plan on doing this halloween as well. I love seeing all the little kids in their cute outfits. Well hope you have a Happy Halloween with your grandkids!
ReplyDeleteThis year I'm sure we will see lots of scary things at our door. We lived out in the country for 15 years and we would get one or two witches, but this year my neighbors say get ready! My poor dogs will need meds before October 31st is over.
